Silly, 13button OBC Question...

Selphie (84-325e bronzit) got a little sickness pending cure..

Does anybody know how i can test the OBC Console and / or ensure the signals are comping properly?

Got a volt/ohm /amperemeter only...

On the OBC Console, what works:
- Clock
- date
- temp
- Timer
- MPH warning
thats it.
Well the set-res switch will work , as the timer does. an the 4 set buttons 1000,100,10,1 do work.
Range, AVG MPH, and MPG dont.
they all blink happily the ----.
No matter what i do, nothing changes on those.

the one in Faith (84 325e blue) works, but thats got a Autometer gaugecluster whilst selphie got a VDO cluster.

Also, i got on Faith a green plug behind the speedo unit with a single wire plugged in. that stuff seems missing in selphie, but im not to concerned as VDO/Autometer..differences..well


Anybody knows how i can check that and where I'd look for dependencies?
Maybe i got like on its speedo a cold soldering connector only i can fix, but i have no idea where data comes from... or if thats supposedly the original OBC console, ..or if a cable is missing. or ..hmm.
