why does my car not start

i have an 87' 325e and every once in awhile when the cars been sitting it wont start when i try too. only if when someone turns the car over and i spray carb cleaner into the intake will it start up perfectly fine and idle great. what could cause that to happen ? thanks

try messing with the "7th injector" its on the passenger side of the intake manifold and has a flathead screw adjustment. It changes your idle speed but its also helped mine not to sputter at startup.
