| I have a 1987 BMW 325i convertible. The car always starts properly, but I turn the key all the way to the OFF position, and the car stays running. I can even pull the key out and the car won't shut off. The only way to turn it off is to disconnect the power from the Battery, but this is definitely not what I want to do more than a few times. Do you guys know what ignition parts I should replace, or tinker with etc? please help I need to get this car working properly before a road trip tomorrow. ![]() please drop me a line back ASAP on here, or drop an email to barry.mcdougall@gmail.com as I'll get it on my phone incase responses to this don't bounce automatically to my email. Thanks Barry |

| no shut off What year is the car. This can only be a couple thimgs. Power is disconnected to the ignition coil from the ignition switch. So the ? is to determine the reverse wiring from coil to switch. I will take look see and get back to you. Do not panic. It is likely a simple issue. Later, Paul |
