Engine Idling High Around 1300rpm....

Ok, so i had some problems with my plug wires and dist. cap, and car wouldn't idle in humidity. I ordered all parts I needed and tried not to drive when it was raining or humid before I got them, but one day I didn't have a choice. Well, since car would stall if it dropped below 1000, i just kept revving it here and there when i was stopped. After I got on the interstate, no problems. I reached destination only to find now the engine won't drop below 12-15 hundred rpm's. Anyone have any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!

sounds like the idle controll valve. mine used to do that for the longest time and then i just took mine off pluged the whole and turned up the idle on the throttle body and now my car idles at 700 rpms.

Thanks man, I figured it was something along those lines, just wasn't sure. What did you use to plug the hole?

to be honest i just these red cap things from my work that we use when we sell like rack and pions and what not but u can use a bolt and clamp it down or what not. but my car doesnt have the stock elblow from the throttle body to the mass. i have a 3 inch 90 deg bend to my mass then a K&N on my mass. so i dont know what ur running but the elblow would cost u at max 20$ compared to the 146 most place want for a new idle controll valve. also i forgot to tell u did u check your clamps like no vacume leaks.
