diff changes help

im thinking about getting a new diff built. LSD and short diff gears. im wanting to get a bit more acceleration by getting a new diff built. any ideas on good ratios for what im after??? currently have a stock diff.

might want to take a look at diffsonline.com - Custom Geared BMW LSD Differentials they have an online differential calculator that would help you to make the right choices, then you may purchase from them or go to E-bay. I would recommend a 3.25 LSD if possible, it a great combination of acceleration and gas mileage at speed if you have an E30, "I", for the "E" there are other choices, all depends on the RPM to final drive relations since getrag trannies had few variables in the US models, good luck

I said fuck the highway and got a 4.10lsd for my eta! Acceleration is rediculous, but 65 on the highway = 3000rpm. its alot of fun though

I'm grinning too, building a "Super ETA Stroker", so far "i" 272 cam, awaiting the new valves and the Double Spring set... currently, rebuilding head

is that 65 miles/h?? cause in oz we got km/h
