| I believe in Australia the E30 had the M42 which would be a 1.8L 4 cylinder. As you said its a twin-cam. I don't know the Aus. market too well so this may not be correct, but atleast its something to start with.

| yes 318iS has M42 engine, twin cam 1.8L yes the m3 is a 2.3L four cyclinder, but NO supercharger.. dont know where u got that from ![]()

| Yup Bergie you had it right from the start, the people misinformed you about superchargers and 2.3 displacement for the 318iS :smile:

| i got the supercharger thingy from a carsales website, a lady was selling a m3 and she said it was supercahrged, but i didnt think that she did it herself, so i though it was standard, oh well silly me thanks guys
