| the faceplate cannot be popped off. It's the 14 button OBC, or however many buttons, not the 9 button one. It's somehow screwed into the rest of the dash and DOES NOT want to come out.

| You do not need to pull the dash out. You can access the unit by removing a panel next to the glove box. It is possible to remove it this way but will be impossibly hard to put back in. The proper way to remove it is to unscrew the surrounding panel which includes removing the heater thingy and your cd player. if you feel the bottom of it, above the ash tray you can feel 2 brass screws. Basically go hunting and you will find there are around 5 of these screws holding the panel in. once you undo these it will be very easy to swap the bulb in your OBC. This is all from memory so don't quite me ![]() If you can't figure it out google "e30 OBC retrofit" and you'll find some helpful walkthroughs.
