| Help with different models! Where can I find the differences in E30 models? For example, interior options, exterior options(lips, spoilers, etc),suspension, brakes, wheels, trim, curb weights for 318vs325? Also differences between models such as 325i and 325iS? I've searched and searched but cannot find any comprehensive information. Not too concerned with convertibles or diesels-Can someone link me to it? Thanks in advance. |

| ok ill try help you out... 3 (first number) is the series of the car (basically size of the car) 25 or 18 or 30 (next two numbers) relates to engine displacement. i = injected - iS = injected Sports (comes with sports options like LSD and i think DOCH instead of SOCH engine head) e = economy. ti = i think is basically Luxury, i dont think they came in the e30 models. iX = 4 wheel drive (think X5/X3) Most models came in 2 door, 4 door, and touring (wagon) Hope this helps (hope this is what ya wanted), pretty sure most of its right, so correct me if im wrong people. |

Check out www.strictlyeta.net if the above link to Amazon (basically for a book you need to buy, ie no facts while online) isn't what you need. Hope it helps!!! And the info in the post directly above isn't right eiter. There were no DOHC 6 cylinder e30's (only the '91 318is with the M42 and the M3 with the S14, both 4 bangers). The displacement thing is close, but the 325 (no other letters) and 325e cars were all 2.7L using the eta motor (injected, but edsigned for MPG, not hp). BTW< this is uberpanzer on someone else's computer. He NEEDS to update his sig since it talks about owning a car that he has sold (the e36). He's back in an e30 now, for those that don't know....

| e= eta greek symbol/word for efficiency. Not meaning economy from the factory.
