Big bore throttle body!!

hello guys...

i just wanted to say i have bought and installed a big bore throttle body on my 325...and i could actually feel the difference

i wanted to yry it out,even after many people said it wouldnt do anything.but a nice upgrade to do!!oooohhhhweeee

i always heard that big bore throttle bodies did nothing - did you dyno it? How much did it cost you, and how much of a difference did it make?

Yeah I have heard the same thing. But I also hear that is a very restrictive e30 part

im not an expert but in BMP they say like a 15% increase in power or somehting and make it seem liek a big deal...can you be specific with the amount of power you feel? where and how much?

You would be lucky to gain 5bhp from a bored out TB on a m20. Bone stock or modded.

You will appreciate improved throttle response thats it.

The TB isn't a restriction point. The 12v head is.....

15% is insane. You wont get 15% power gain. If you did that 535i AFM conversion, throttle body, and intake i doubt you would get 15%. the air meter is restrictive on the e30

its 15% more air into the engine...not 15% more power

i think its just 15% less restrictive, which probably makes no difference if u have the gay ass afm on e30s, because you won't get 15% more air through that just by making the rest of the path wider... 15% more air into the engine is like 2.2 psi, that would be nice, but i dunno....

yeah that sounds better. they really made it sound liek it adds a lot of power. i read it a while ago and was just recalling what they wrote, but yeah it didnt make sense i guess
how muhc and where you buy it?

What other intake modifications do you have to add to it? Some different combos yeild jumps in ponies. Definetly dyno it, I'd like to know the results (unless you don't have the base numbers). Good job on taking the chanse and buying it after hearing practicaly all negative feedback on it.

I dont know a whole lot about this on a bmw (just bought a 325 yesterday), but I trew on a bigger throtle body on my old rabbit and it helped a whole lot with throttle response, but didnt give it much more power. How much was it?
