19# injectors on m20

im looking at some 19 pound injectors out of a 95 m3 and want to know if they will work on my m20

There are a few things you can check.
Flow rate, resistance value of the injector coil and physical size. I have only worked with the M20 injectors so I dont know what the M3 ones even look like. Check they are the same dimensions as the M20 ones or else you may have to use another intake and fuel rail.
Check your current injector resistance and compare to the M3 ones. If they are the same then they should work with the ECU without any hassle. I havent a clue what the flowrate diference will be but you can dig on the net, the info is out there provided you have the Bosch(I assume they are Bosch) numbers.

Hopefully someone else has more info

Yeah but he runs 48's

If you want to get up in that power range the 19's arent going to cut it, a few of them have noticed fuel related issues when running up around 10-12psi when using 19's, 24's are the in thing atm but to even get close to jim you are going to need to go larger still.

actually he used 19's out of a fox body mustang with a 5.0 in it. heres the url.

To begin with..... Go and read what he is running now, then go to E30tech and have a look through his posts about changes made to the fuel system. If you use the write up above as a guide you would still think he uses a FMU with no mention of the fuel pump, he doesnt, has since changed to megasquirt, dumped the FMU and gone with a walbro. It isnt like he started producing those numbers, he had to work up to it, you have the luxury of skipping steps (parts like the fuel system he had to upgrade when it wasnt supplying enough fuel) to save money.

Seriously, you need to do plenty more reading before you even attempt this, it is evident you havent, and if you dont, you will go down the exact same path as people have before and run into all the same mistakes.
