Sylvania Silver Star Bulbs vs The Xenon On Ebay With 5000K or higher?

Heyyyy,

I went to canadian tire today and bought some Silver Star HID bulbs. Yes I know these are nothing compared to the real HID. Which one are better? The ones that sell on ebay with the coated blue (krypton) or the ones from Sylvania as far as brightness and the look of HID. Which one is better?

Ugh, there is no such thing as HID bulbs that have a filament.

All "HID look" bulbs are just regular crappy halogens with blue tint making them even crappier, and ebay bulbs will be teh suk. They will blow all the time too because of the heat under the tint. The car in your pic doesnt take plug in bulbs unless you got H4s, in that case OSRAM makes the best H code halogens.

Real HID bulbs do this and have no Xenon gas or filaments, just halides (im sure someone will jump in and say I am wrong)

Ya I know what you mean.. Keep the regular ones. But its not strong enough at night.. I need something with more light. And I kind of like the fake HID cause it gives a strong white light. Like the xenons. I wanted to put the fake ones till I saved up for the reall ones.. I dont have 300 bucks USD to spend on real HIDs cause I already ordered alot of shit for my car.

if you want brighter, just slap in your high beam bulbs. those are damn bright. just have to mod them a bit to fit.

Those shitty blue bulbs actually give out less light. Some one above mentioned putting 9005 bulbs in the low beams. If you have a dremel tool, it's an EASY mod, and the 9005 bulbs are brighter.

The Silverstars are good! I've tried them and it made a big difference compared to the original bulbs that came with the car. It is bright and white.

Does anybody know anything about the MiiG EuroCut HID Kit that comes up on ebay every once in awhile. They claim a lifetime warranty even if the bulbs burn out with normal use. They look like an affordable replacement for my stock lights. I've heard about these types of HID-like lights always having problems and burning out. Any info would help, thanks.

Seriously? I didnt see a big difference! Ya its white but its like it doesnt look like Xenon or even close to it, It just looks like a regular yellow bulb. Although it does show the road signs very good. I installed one of them on the right side to see how it compares. There is a difference yes but not alot! I havent installed it in the left cause its harder to get at. Anyways ill take some pics at night to show u guys what I mean.

Check out these bulbs and the brightness of the bulbs they selling on ebay at 6000K
