| you have to use shorter shocks designed for lowering, if you use ur stock ones they will always be under load and eventually blow out. besides, if ur suspension is original u should replace the shocks anyway. mine were shot at 95k.

| springs Ok i understand the concept of replacing the shocks as well. I just dont have the money for shock, struts, and springs. Now I do not drive my car everyday. Just on the weekends and such. I dont even race her either. If I do not replace the struts/shocks will I still get the lowering effect? Just temporary until I can get the shock/struts. thanks |

| why do the same job twice? just save parts and do it at once, u will always have that nagging at you that you will have to replace the shocks. i collected parts for a year to do my swap. trust me you will be much happier.

| Don't put springs in without struts/shocks that's just a waste of time and money if you aren't doing the install yourself, be patient and save for a full suspension, cupkit is very reasonably priced and you don't track your car so it might be best for you.

| I have some eibachs for sale that fit e30, pro kit. They are used for only 5000 miles and look new. $110 bucks + shipping is the cost obo, comes in the box and everything. And it is usually required that you get some shocks that are meant to be lowered, say bilstein sports. |

| If you want to spend less money and your not racing or anything, then get some KYB GR-2 fronts and Gas-adjust rears. Decent shocks, work with lowered suspension and hella cheap. I think a set of Gr-2's are $100 for both and gas-adjust rears are about $50, as opposed to the $375 you'll spend on Bilsteins. |
