| maybe buying a E30 so sometime next week im going to buy a CRX Si for $200, the guy im buying it from told me it was a '89, so i thought it was kinda cool looking, maybe i could tune it a little while i save for a BMW, but i have been looking around and its not a '89, its somewhere between 84 and 87, which means its ugly as sin, so im planing on fixing it a little, and selling it for about $1000-$1500, depending on what i can get, but im, thinking i can take that money and buy an E30, do you guys think thats poisibal? to get a '86 325is with that money? any thoughts on this would be aprecitated. |

| Well... That sounds like a plan but I think you are a little off on the numbers. First, I don't think you can get 1000-1500 for the first gen CRX. Probably more in the $700 - $800 range even if you fix it a little. Secondly,in 86 there was no 325is.. It was 325e or am 325es. The is didn't exist until late 87. You will be able to get a decent e30 for about a $1000 in need of a little work. Good luck in your search. CY ![]()

| well i think i can get $1k for the CRX, thats what www.kbb.com says, so thats what im planing to get for it, 2 questions, 1. what changed in the E30 in 87? im not to fermiler with them, but it seems like they picked up about 40hp, anyone know a little bit more about this? and 2. what all is involved in stroking a car? and what type of gains can i expect? |
