| z8 button/electrical problem earlier this year i installed a z8 start button. for a few months it worked perfectly, but now my starter is acting up on both the key start and the button start. when i first start the car up in the morning with either the key or the button, the first try i always get a continuous sounding "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" sound and the engine doesnt turn over, after the first try it starts up no problem. i dont know whats going on, is this a problem with the electric starter or the key/button? |

| disconnected the button and it still does it. now that i know it isnt the button, what else can it be? the electric starter? what would make it not want to work the first time i try to crank it, but then immediatly work the second time? |

| the brushes are shot in the starter... the first start is breaking making it make contact then it starts... starters are expandable... go to your local Oreilly auto parts and buy there ultima bosch remans... 100 bucks i wanna say... They will test em too... plug plug (work there) tap on it with a hammer first before you start it one morning... if it starts right up first try gurrantee its the starter... Have fun taking it out... Alldata's instructions list taking off the intake manifold! lol... not neccasary but either way a total bitch ![]()
