| Sony DSLR-a100 Has anyone used this camera? I am in the market for a DSLR to replace my current F717 that I have been using for years. I am seriously looking into Sony's first DSLR as my past experience with their equipment has been great. My DSC-F717 is bullet proof and still takes a good shot. I didn't even consider this platform at first and was sold on the 30D as I thought the lens selection for the Sony would be minimal. I was wrong they currently have 30+ lenses for this platform both Konica-Minolta and new Sony ones. I know the Canon has a lot less noise on the higher ISO settings but I don't think this will affect me to much with the shooting I do. I figured the Sony platform will save me a few hundred over the 30D and I can pickup an extra lens. Let me know what you guys think. http://www.learningcenter.sony.us/as...slr/index.html

| as the sony DSC-F series are great PnS cameras, I'm not sold on the SLRs yet.. GRANTED they are basically renamed/re-engineered Konicas, I'm still hesitant.. there's a reason why Nikon and Canon have the market share!

| Personally, I would suggest Canon as the best, Nikon as runner up. My father has a D2Xs with Nikon's version of the Canon 24-70mm L series lens. So that is the best body/lens combo Nikon has to offer and that setup does not compare to my 5D w/ 24-70L which is not even Canon's best camera. So that is where my opinion has formed about Nikon and Canon. I am not saying Nikon is bad at all, I still enjoy shooting with my father's gear and they do produce quality shots. So if you find a deal for a Nikon, it is still worth considering.
