Tripod suggestions HELP

I have a Canon 350d and I have been shooting over a year without a good tripod. Please give me your recomendations. I want something nice that is steady and won't break the bank.

Brand?

Model?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

if your not too into photography i'd suggest just going to walmart and picking one up from there. Most pro tripods run into the hundreds of dollars when you comsider the tripod and the swivel heads.

Im into photography and wouldn't mind spending aorund 100 bucks.. but I don't want to drop 300.

the walmart garb is not steady, I already tryed.

go on www.bhphotovideo.com and find tripods. Search through the brands and see what you can get for what price. A lot of ppl use bogen, manfrotto and those seem to be the best out of the bunch

This website doesn't carry either of those Brands. I used a Manfrotto that belonged to a community college here in town and was blown away at how nice it was. Im going to go to Wolf camera and see/play with what they have then price shop what I like. Ill post up what Im looking at in case its garbage.

You got a Wolf camera there, too? Nice, I thought they were only in STL.

I thought it was, but it was a Ritz.. We have one somewhere because I remember seeing it. They had a nice manfrotto but it was littler than I wanted so I have to go to another store on the other side of town to see more selection. Thanks for everyone's help, and I'll post what I come up with.
