| I'm going to switch to Microfiber Towels starting this summer and I'm trying to find out which ones are the best ones. I have looked through couple posts on these and most people recommend either CMA (www.properautocare.com), www.pakshak.com, or JT International. After reading on CMA's site about how a lot of companies are bringing in cheap microfiber towels and selling them in the US I'm concerned on where to get them from: http://www.properautocare.com/micwhatbigde.html CMA seems to be the best place to get it from, but they're expensive, here is a comparison: The Microfiber Magic Towel 16X16 70% blend of Polyester and a 30% blend of Polyamide With 221,000 fibers per square inch! $9.95 EACH!!!! Viper Microfiber Detailing Cloths. 16X16 80/20 blend of Polyester and Polyamide 190,000 micro fibers per square inch. $14.95 for 3 ($4.98 EACH) PAKSHAK: 1 - Micro Fiber Towel 16" x 16"* $5.95/ea 1 - Micro Fiber Towel 24" x 24"* $9.45/ea 1 - Waffle Weave MF Towel 25" x 36"* $18.95/ea NO INFO on what hte blend is or how many fibers per square inch, I have emailed them couple of days ago and still no response! JT INTERNATIONAL: All his towels are 100,000 fibers per square inch. The waffleweave towels are 80/20% polyester/polyamide and the soft, plush microfiber terry towels are 70/30% 16x16 inch soft, plush terry towel $2.00 !!!! 24x24 inch soft, plush terry towel $4.00 16x36 inch waffleweave $7.00 24x46 inch waffleweave $12.00 So bottom line, you can see that JT International is the cheapest! but that at the same time makes me wonder why it's so cheap ......comparing his 16X16 with CMA 16X16, the JT Interntional has only 100,000 fibers per squre inch and CMA 190,000, thats a pretty big difference, and I guess I see thats why JT is only $2.00 each and CMA $4.98 (more than twice as much). And for the rest of his stuff comparing his pricing to Pakshak, you can see his stuff is still much cheaper than them.I want to hear some of your inputs on this. My concern is that if I'm going to be spending money for Microfiber towels, I want the best, but at the same time, just because something is expensive it doesnt' necessary mean you're getting the best. I think the number of fibers per square inch here is a pretty big deal, and thats probably why there is a big price difference, but at the same time I'm new to the microfiber world so I'm not sure......Does having 90,000 more microfiber makes that much of a difference?? How about the other stuff mentioned on CMA's page about the strands not being split, or the microfibers threads being larger..?? If you're a microfiber towel user, lets hear your opinion on all this Last edited by Arman : 05-21-2003 at 09:38 AM. |

| For those interested, I purchased towels from all three of them, JT International is AS GOOD as all of them, if not, better! I highly recommend this guy. And for those of you who have never used Microfiber Towels before, well, you better get with the program, these towels are amazing! |

| I've also been using the Meguiar's ones. I like 'em. Although, they're the only ones I've used. Maybe this summer I'll investigate some other brands.
