Paint on Paint?

Hey guys, question. i just got my car about a month ago and I noticed there are a few small drops of paint on the roof and side windows. It looks like interior house paint....as if someone painted the ceiling of their garage with the car underneath it. Anyway, I know I can use a razor blade to get it off of the windows but what should I use on the roof of the car? I dont want to damage the clear coat with a solvent and really dont want to use a razor blade. Any help would be great.

try a claybar... it takes off overspray automotive paint so house paint should be easy

a clarbar should work but it depends on the abrasiveness level of the claybar. You can choose an abrasiveness when you buy it. But if you go too abrasive you might need to use a compound and a polish afterwards.

clay will most likey get the paint off they remove contaminates, overspray, and other crap from your paint

this happened to my GF's car, on her bumper. I used some paint thinner, came right off. Needs to be the real stuff though. Use it sparringly, rub lightly. It didn't affect her car paint at all, just took the house paint off!

I've seen paint thinner ruin paint before, I wouldn't use it if I were you.

You've seen, and I've actually USED it....and it did absolutely NOTHING to the paint of the car. This was reccommended to me by a body shop, and it worked fine.

Obviously use it VERY sparingly and maybe test a small area.
