Yea, they are a Dinan Dealer also. Steve Dinan was there last year. So I think they are ok. Most Dinan parts are stock modifyed parts, so they are not to hard to put on.

Jason, maybe they were scared when they see the M5. Anytime I say E30 M3, I get screwed! They just think I'm used to paying WAY to much for everything!

Maybe their rule of thumb is to charge more for older cars. The older the car is the more things should be charged?

i asked them about a UUC SSK and i was quoted at about $500 installed too. hey do any of you work on E36s? i need to change some of my fluids (coolant, brake fluid)and maybe my 02 sensor. it would be good if i didn't have to pay $$$ to the stealer.

My 5 series has a M50, so I know the engine real well.
You guys don't have a CLUE how EASY it is to work on our cars! I did a compleat INSP II on my 525 with Redline and some extra parts and it was under $200, that includes a AUTO trans flush, of 15qts of AT.

If you guys want to come over, i can teach you how to do this stuff. I also know how to reset the SI lights with a wire. There are also "kits" out there for INSP II for like $65! All in all it takes about 2 hours to change EVERYTHING! The belts and O2 are the hardest.

Let me know, I'm usally home from work around 2-3pm, and most weekends, I work on the car, or a friends car.

From now on, if you arent willing to work on your car, ask myself and/or jawknee. Working on the e36 and e46 is easy.
For example, I did the UUC SS on my e36 in 30 minutes. I did RD front and rear sways easily as well. Changing the oil and spark plugs is like lacing shoes up. I can't believe you guys actully pay people to touch your car.

But if no one has ever shown then how are they to know? you got to start some where! Once you see how easy it is, you will Kick you self for paying for it!!

I just figured it all out!
Dinan tells them how mcuh labor they can charge on Dianan parts! If they over charge Dinan will not use them as a reseller!

Now other parts they pull the highest number they can and have you pay for it!

I want to learn how to change my oil on my M5. When's a good time to hook up? I think I need to change my oil anyways. I should probably buy oil and the filter first before hooking up with any one of you guys.

Jason, any time. I have very flexable hours at work. Usally after 2pm any weekday we can do it. Total time is about 30min to chage it! Of course your car takes a little more oil then my car!

I am always interested in saving $100 on what everyone here says is a basic service. I have heard horror stories about the spark plug service.
I usually take my car to the $tealer so I have someone to yell at if there's a screw-up.
What's the best way to reach the sensai's(EVOIIIM3 & TYE) who are offering to help teach us neophytes? Thanks for the inforamtion. Business_Core@Yahoo.com
