The washing machine will ruin your mats. The best method to clean them is this. Got to the quarter car wash (pressure washer), most of them have floor mat holders. Hang up the mats, spray them down with Castrol Super Clean, scrub the mats with a short-bristle brush, turn the pressure washer to the "soap" position and spray them at full power, scrub with brush again, rinse well. Finally, take the back side of the brush and scrape alot of the water out of the mat. Take the mats home and let them dry in the sun. It takes about 15 minutes to wash all 4 mats. Brian

Hmm, I always wash my mats in the washing machine then dry them. They always come out looking like new too. Of course my washing machine has special modes for rugs and stuff, worked like a charm so far with no damage whatsoever.

Very good advice! I also think "super green clean" is a little stronger if your stains are really hard to remove. But I'd follow BMLRacer suggestions.
