Wink My Kill on I-5 washington

whats up guys Im new to this forum, although I dont own a bmw, I used to have a 98 740i and I loved that car. Curently I own a modefied gs400 and I was on I-5 when three 3 series bmw's came up behind me, the first one looked like a blue 330ci with nice rims, the second looked like a black imported 328 thats been supercharged with real nice rims, and the third one was a silver hamann E46 sedan. Anyways so the first one lines up next to me and he jumps the car by the time I hit 100mph I was about 2 1/2 car lengths ahead so I slowed down, now both the black and the blue bmw's lined up next to me, I thought the black one was going to give me a run for my money but to my surprise I was still in the lead by 2 1/2 car length's I didnt see the hamann bmw he was back there but I know if we hit some twisties I would have lost even with my modefied suspension these guys looked like they had coilovers and they have smaller cars.

well anyways I read on one of the cars the dtmpower.net sticker and wonderd if these guys wanted to meet up some time , we could have a bmw/lexus meet .

P.S. you guys did have awsome cars, oh and here is a pic of my car so you can remember me

WOW

Your car is AMAZING!!! I love GS400's when they are modified. There is a white GS400 where I live and it has like 22" chrome rims, body kit, and other stuff done to it. I really like the GS400, considering how they changed the look 1998. It is an amazing car with amazing capabilities.

Just curious, but how in the heck could U tell if it was supercharged by just cruising down the highway? I am sure that a supercharged 3 would do more than give you a run for your money. Not flaming, just curious. Elaborate please.

Good kills!

Not bad for a 8 vs 6 race. They did pretty good against
you. Your probably putting out about 310 hp with a mod or two.

The gs400 and 430 are nice cars. Ive raced them both from about 70 - 145 and the 430 was bout 3 cars back and the 400 was well, way back and that was with my 2.81 differential.

What mods do you have?

thanks for the warm welcome guys, I live in federal way washington, the reason I think it was supercharged was because I saw the gauges on his driver side window frame and I could hear it when he punched it too, I couldnt tell if it was a turbo or a supercharger but I just assumed it was a sc since there more common than turbo bmw's. As for mods on my car right now I have a SRT HFI/ECU stage II and a borla exaust system thats good for about 40hp at the flywheel I havent dyno'd my car yet so I cant tell you exactly how much Im pushing but I can garentee I would give your 540 a run for its money Ive also beaten a few gs400's and a few 540's Ive also had it going with a e55 amg from 60-90mph but we had to slow down since there was traffic ahead of us he had about a half car lead ahead of me.

razor325ci yah dude we should meet sometime that would be hella cool

Re: My Kill on I-5 washington

WHo agrees that a nice intercooler would look just smashing in that space for the bumper looks like it asking for one. I dont know if they even make em( thats TURBOS) for the 400 but it would look so at home.

GS400's do look nice, both modded and unmodded. Theres this black one in Toronto with this nice ass body kit and these really nice lookin dual exhaust tips(not those loud ricer one's) it's on 18 or 19" chromes....really nice. but it seemed like he had normal suspension, somewhat soft lokin when goin over bumps, but the car sat pretty low

the guy rebadged it Toyota Aristo V300 ( what they're called in Japan).....is that considered rice??

BTW....sweet car man.

Not really. As far as I know rice is when you make your car appear to be fast when it isn't which is sometimes characterized by applying badges to your car indicating is is a higher performance or special edition version when it isn't. Ack, I've been writing an English essay and I just lapsed into ultra grammatically correct mode. Since badging it a Toyota makes it seem alot slower (no offense ) and alot less expensive, you could say its the opposite or rice (anti-rice ) and hes just getting in touch with his cars roots.

Had to be Tye, Jawknee & Edris, when they were all coming home from the Portland show last weekend.

very nice

ive got a tiny bit of rice in me so itll be cool to see how my E30 318i comes out... my favorite bodykit so far has a big ass supra style wing and low bumpers.

only real race ive had was the day i bought the car (bout a month ago) and was comin home and raced an MR2 and got my ass handed to me... tho it was hysterical for some odd reason cause my friend started laughin his ass off

biggie27 --

I'm the one that went at it with you the most I knew that I was going to get crushed, but wanted to have some fun with you anyways and I'm glad you cooperated . I always like to have fun with cars that I think I'm going to get crushed by. My 328 with full Dinan bolt-ons (no SC) isn't that fast, but it does do pretty well at the track .

We should meet up for sure and have some more fun! Too bad my passenger didn't have his SC'd M3 -- that would've been fun to see!!

FYI -- my car and Tye's car, which is a 325IS with some bolt ons (no SC), are pretty much dead even...
