| Removing light swirls and scratches in pearl paint? Hey guys, just bought a 1990 Audi 90, pearl white. Well, it appears someone must have took a wet rag, and rubbed it over a dry car or something stupid like that. Well, it left some minor swirls and scratches.... I was thinking of trying Mequires scratch X.... What else to you guys reccomend? Should I do it by hand, or a 6" buffer? Thanks for the help....

| First off.... a buffer for the job to go much quicker & effect, otherwise a hand with plenty stamina  Scratch X is not bad, but you can try score from product like from the Meguiar's detailer line. meguiars.com: E-Store /Professional (Mirror Glaze Brand)>Auto Paint Care>Paint Cleaners/Compounds§ionID=31301 The general rule is, start off with the mildest solution and work up as necessary. From my experience thusfar i'd recommend a swirl remover from the 'Poorboy's World" brand. Superior Auto Detailing Supplies
