There are a few things that you definitely need to keep in mind when using a detailing spray:
1. Know when to say when, if the car is too dirty it is a very very bad idea to use these types of products,
2. always good to use a car duster before using the detailing spray,
3. check your towel very very often, make sure it is not getting too dirty or you are trapping anything in it, you don't want to scratch the paint,
4. detailing spray works fairly well on wheels, spray the COLD wheel, use a wet towel and wipe clean, follow up with another quick spray and wipe with a clean towel.
5. If you are going to attempt to maintain your car with the spray, do it OFTEN, like every 2-4 days, don't let the car get too dirty.

Some other brands of detailing sprays include:
Griots
Poorboys
Chemical Boys (brand sounds scary, but I never tried it so I can't really comment)
Sonus
Pinnacle
DP

There are now interior sprays available too...

great info! and i totally agree

all good info but yeah im more pointin out that u can get away with simply spraying on after rinsing your car and THEN usin chamois to wipe it off along with drying car... only thing to point out is make sure your do it in a shady place so the car doesnt dry out before you chamois but you have to do that no matter how you wash your car really anyway. Those other steps sound mote like when your dry washing your car. Which is yeah a lil bit different altogether... oh while im here does anyone actually have any good info on waterless carwash products and tips on how to use them?

I use Jax Wax quick detailer, and actualy have a thread about it in here with my E30, using it after claying. Quick detailer really provides a great shine. I carry a bottle at all times for cleaning bird poop and other oopsies.
