| The Absorber as a drying towel Anyone ever used these? Called "The Absorber" https://www.cleantools.net/website/i...ductsPage.aspx They look like they dry the car really well leaving almost no water spots but I'm wondering if it can leave damage the way they say to use it. To drag across the hood when drying? What if it picks up some dirt, won't that drag a stratch across your paint? haha |

| I prefer a Microfiber towel over an asborber or chamois. Probably because I'm lazy and don't like wringing it out every other wipe. ![]()

| Yeah, I heard they can scratch too. I have used one and never had any problems with scratching. I now use the big microfiber towel from Griot's which also works well. The key with whatever you choose is what was said above, keep it clean and dirt free and you should not have any problems.

| Microfiber towels are awesome.... My typical routine now is to go over the car quickly with an absorber, then follow up with a microfiber to get the rest of the water off the panels and out of any seams, joints, etc.

Another reason I like the Microfiber is that I can easily see where I missed spots. What I mean is the dirt shows up immediately on the towel, whereas the absorber/chamois you will work the dirt into the paint before you notice it. ![]()

| I've been using the absorber towl for a while now but I think I'm going to switch to micro-fiber only towels. Reason is, during some of my past car cleanings, the absorber probably picked up some dirt or something and put some nice scratches on the back of my car, they seem to be getting bigger too. So I think i'm going to switch, micro-fiber towels seem like they'd be much more kind to the car when it picks up dirt compared to the absorber. |
