The beauty of this product is that it does not create a significant amount of white dust when it dries.
Thus, you can get away with wiping it on and off without destroying your interior.
Should you get it on the canvas, I've found that a simple dabbing with warm water & a soft (lint free) cloth removes any excess product.
PS - Expect to put some elbow grease into the window if it's in rough shape. Of all the products I've experimented with though, Scratch-X does the job the fastest and yields the longest lasting results.
