| use microfibre polishing cloths, or foam applicator pads for applying polish and scratch x. i would use the cloths as you are actually able to generate some heat in the paint and it will make your work easier. pull the polish off when dry with a supreme shine microfibre towel. also use these for wax removal, and the foam pads for application. |

| Got myself the 'Classic Car Care Kit' (soft wash gel, cleaner wax, wash sponge, applicator pad & microfiber cloth), seems to be a good starter kit. Unfortunately the shop didn't stock ScratchX, but I found a list of retailers, who stock the stuff. I'll just phone around. I'm still a student and currently don't have a job and don't really have time for one either, so paying to have it done is out of the question, esp. since everything car related is very expensive here. And in any case I've got too many blistered patches from bird crap. Maybee i'll have some cash in a year or two to have it resprayed, but untill then... And I washed(soft wash gel) and polished (cleaner wax) the car this evening. Looks much better, but i'll have another look in the morning.

| Just waxing the car covers up most of the swirl marks, but some are still visible. I think they are rather deep, so now I'm not so sure if I want to remove so much clear coat. I'm leaning to just waxing the car more often now and once i've got enough money to get it resprayed.

| Waxing hide's swirl marks, but put your car in the sun and you'll be pissed. When you're driving and the sun hit's your car it's like insane you can see every scratch swirl on the car. I wish car paint was swirl proof ![]()

| Has anyone have experience with 3M's VPS (vehicle protection shield). It's a transparent urethane film that is put over the paint like cling wrap. Supposed to be nearly invisible and protect against scratches and stone chips. Can't imagine it looking good though.

| It looks ight my buddy's had it put on their lambo's, you can't really tell, but when you get up close and notice it it's buzz kill. I personally will go through the faze of respraying just because it looks cleen'r.

| Also known as the "clear bra" ? If so, I've got it on my G35x, its great, can't see it enless close up. It's completely clear, and of course it keeps rocks and junk from chipping the paint off your car. Definetly worth it if you live in an area where lots of depree is hitting your car. |
