| Well when the paint starts to feel rough. that's what i'd do. But in that case go over the paint with some detailing clay

| I would not get in the habbit of using anything abrassive too often, as it removes clear coat and paint with every application. What I would do is polish every few months, wax maybe once a month, maybe less, and do the entire process maybe once a year or so. CLay whenever the paint is rough like mtechnik said.
