Hi,

Anyone know of any stuff that i can clean my aluminium water bottle and intercooler with, there is some dry brown water marks....

Try some billet polish. Mothers is all that Ive tried, but it works really well for polishing aluminum lips.

Hi Andru,

Used something similar to billets, taken off most of the dirt but there is still spots that is faded.

I used a Dremel with felt polishing tips and some polishing compound to make my oil filter cap nice and shiny. I should've clearcoated it, though, because it looks like crap again, a couple of years later.

Are well give a try next time, couldnt get it clean with the polish an I needed the car so just fitted it back in my UT(Uno Turbo).
Just found out as well a guy told me I must mix By-Carb of sodia with water and just spray it on what needs to be clean.
Havent tried it yet.

Interesting...never knew about baking soda as an Al cleaner.

Don't know if you can get it where you live but Autosol works wonders on aluminium/alloy and chrome

Thanx, but we dont get autosol, going to try meguires all metal polish...

i'v used the meguires metal polish before. for me it just made things shine.

have you tried cleaning it you baking soda paste? i'v heard it works put i've never tired it

Baking Soda works, cleans stuff nicely but need to apply a polish to make it shine.
