In particular to the original question, the longest lasting wax is a paste wax such as Meguiars Paste Wax #16 which lasts for approximately 4-6 months with proper care. The alternative IMO better route to take would be to use Meguiars Synthetic Sealant #21 after cleaning the paint with Meguiars Pro Speed Glaze #80.

Klasse AIO and SG are long lasting "sealants". If you want a carnauba based wax,MEG #16 lasts a long time (no longer manufactured but if you can find some it does work well. Another long lasting carnauba wax is Collinite waxes.I like the 845 insulator wax or the 476 super double coat paste wax.

A fairly common question. But to me, long lasting isnt always the key. You need depth, clarity, and wetness...
Poorboys, ZYMOL concours (160 a bottle haha)

Jonw440 would be correct. Klasse and Collonite do last. They last because they are fully synthetic sealants (klasse) or partial synthetic waxes (collinite). If durability is what you are looking for then a sealant is the obvious choice. Carnaubas are known for their outstanding shine and depth but they have a drawback, they are natural products that are not very durable. Carnaubas will melt at around 150 degrees. A dark colored car in the sun can exceed that quickly. Sealants have always been known for durability but were said to be a little sterile looking. Some thought sealants lacked the depth of the carnaubas. Technology has improved and todays acrylic sealants like klasse, menzerna, poorboy's etc. have much improved depth of shine. Many finatics will even layer a carnauba over a polymer sealant to get the benefits of the sealant and the gloss of the carnauba.

Examples of carnaubas:
nattys
P21s
zymol

Examples of sealants:
Klasse
poorboy's ex-p
menzerna fmj

If there are any other questions about this topc or others don't hesitate to ask.

Brett

I just did my hood with Collinite 845 insulator wax.The Collinite makes very tall beads that roll of when you stop or turn a corner.

I would actually suggest Zymol Councours or Destiny also Pinnacle Souveran with Klasse... although these are more expensive then your usual waxes and polishes the results are worth it.....and the more steps and # of times you apply your finish wax (thin coats that is) the longer lasting with greater lust

I like to finish up with a coat of Eagle one nanowax, it goes on and comes off easy and leaves it smooth as glass to the touch.

You Need to Try this, Here In Panamŕ, we have just 2 weather stations, 8 months of full rain, and 4 months of the heaviest sun, you have to use: Meguiar's Next Generation Tech Wax! , i`ve tried: Sonax( easy shine), Turtle Wax(carnuba wax), Zymol, Formula 1, 3M ando nothing compares to Meguiar`s

The best product I have used so far is Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant.

Turtle wax Ice is what I use. I used it last winter to wax my car and after a snow storm while my car was outside, the wax stayed on and my car remained shiny clean afterwards.

I use the TW Ice car wash but I'm not a big fan of the ICE wax, I saw my buddy using it and wasn't too impressed. I did just use the Mother's 3 step finishing with their carnuba and it was really shining, held up through a couple T-storms we had as well. It leaves a nice even bead with water on the car.
