Paint and Wax...

I've been searching both here and BF.c and can not find a direct answer as to how long after paint has been sprayed. I'm using the date of 5/25/05 as the day my fender got spray (prolly not the exact day, but that's the day I picked it up.) So the question goes, can I wax it?

3 Months- I would say yes you will be fine. I will say I am not an autobody technician just an auto detailer. Everything I have heard you should be fine after 3 Months.

In my paint book from HP, it suggest's waiting 5 months. I would think you could do it at 3, but no sooner. I mean why risk it you know.

I ended up not doing it, hell I had to wash the car at like 12-2pm. Water spots anyone?

Since it's been about 4 months to this date, the paint is mostly cured, but is still somewhat fresh. For this reason, I would just prep the paint with the Menzerna FPII and throw some wax on it.

Then wait a couple of months to take out any imperfections in the paint. For this use:

All of the Menzerna line is safe for fresh paint (excluding Powergloss), and it will not affect the curing of the paint. You can feel safe using these, and you won't have to ask any further questions.
