| Windex and Window tint??? Hey i just got a used car that has some nice window tint on it. My old 93 325i had some tint on it also and it seemed like using windex to clean the windows made the tint bubble up or chip after some time. Is Windex safe to use on cars with window tint? If its not, what would you recomend cleaning tinted windows with? Thanks for the help. |

| Windex, or anything containing ammonia is not recommended for tinted windows....

| DO NOT USE WINDEX ON TINTED WINDOWS!!!! EVER!!!! I use Eagle One 20/20 Perfect Vision glass cleaner, it doesn't have Amonia in it, so its safe for tinted windows. Basically ANYTHING without Amonia in it will work fine, products that contain Amonia causes tint to turn purple and peel. |
