Dire need of help.

See my Dad's car (740iL) is in need of a good wax. I have a tub of S100. ut the thing is I need to do something else before it. Can I use some Zymol then apply the S100? This is after a Wash, clay, Wash, dry of course. Thakn you.

Not really enough info, what does the paint look like? whats its condition? Almost all paint could use some type of polish or at least a glaze before the sealant or wax.

Yes some people do, If the car is preped right and Z applied correctly not sure if it will really help much. ?

Dewey is just trying to help. He has been doing this a lot longer than I, and for a lot higher stakes than just a personal hobby.

You probably can top Zymol with S100, as Zymol is carnauba-based and should have no trouble bonding to the S100, but it is a bit redundant and really won't help the paint condition except wax over the impurities. If you plan on doing it by hand, you could always pick up some Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner Polish (DACP) as a great first step to prepping the paint before you throw wax on it, and from what I have heard it works very well by hand. Otherwise I suspect you really aren't going to be happy with the end result.

Oh sorry I wasn't trying to sound mean . I'm too cheap to order some DACP (well it's more like the father won't order it). So I have to work with what I can get in stores, so I'm thinking Meguir's NXT then S100. Thanks for helping guys.

my moms car hadnt been waxed in about 3 years and washed in 1 or so. i washed it and waxed it in one day all by hand and i used meguairs 3 step wax and it worked amazingly, the car had HUGE scratches on it and it looks a hell of a lot better now
