Plater, some suggest that Carnaubas appear richer, but they dont hold a candle to durability vs. polymers. I for one cannot see any appearance advantage going to carnauba. NXT is a Polymer (sealant), Gold Class is Carnauba (wax)......
Polishes remove dead paint, reduce vertical edges on scratches/swirl marks, and rejuvinate oils.
Waxes provide limited protection. Sealants provide what waxes do and more.
Glazes fill very small, fine scratches, but will eventually wash out.

Any recommendations on a good car wash soap? I noticed the Mr. Clean soap contains a polymer in it, but I havent seen any others that say they have that.

Will Polishes add more small scratches untill i use a finer cut (after several layers) this is what i gather when ppl talk about using a PC... but what about by hand!

Mr Clean soap does have Polymers in it, but after i used it, i noticed a significant decrease in surface slickness, it almost felt like it removed my sealant or wax. I dont know if it was on top of the sealant, or if it did in fact remove it. It did sheet the water off, and no spotting, truthfully iahvent used it since. I aslo noticed a problem with quick detailer products after i used it.
I still feel: good suds (Armor All, NXT wash, Gold Class etc..), good lubricant, sheeting method (Not via Mr Clean), a couple waffle weave drying towels, and some shade, and quick detailing products or Eagle One Wax as U dry, are the best choices....
Bimmer, i still use Armor All Car Wash for all my vehicles, its economical, and works great. Ive heard great things about the NXT wash, and its my belief it has Polymers in it.

P-Plater, all polishes cause small scratches, its this abrasive action that erases bigger scratches. You just have to be careful in your polish selection. Minor swirls and scratches and you can probably get by with over the counter products, anything above average, i would have other recommendations for you.....Serious scratches involve using heavier grit polishes, or diminishing polishes. You kind of look at it like sanding wood, if you will. If you have something real rough (Heavy swirls/scratches) you go with a heavier grit sandpaper. You take out the bigger scratches, causing smaller scratches. Then you use a medium grit to remove scratches you just put in. You finally work your way to a fine grit, to remove tiny scratches.....Same principle applies to polishing........

Absolutely, its two fold, shines the surface, and prepares it for better adhesion with a sealant......

It costs around $8 or $9 a bottle. I know Superior Detail Supplies will carry it soon. But for now you should be able to get it at Detailers paradise or Autopia

perls sounds like good stuff, i used to use the zymol autowash, is it a good wash? i really liked it.
