I use armor all on the engine bay & tires (keep it FAR away from interior), nothing is going to stay on your tires very long...

I have heard of people using car wax on their rims/tires, but I doubt this would last much longer than armor all.

Well it depends if you want a water based or solvent/petroleum distillate based. Ones that are water based are going to the safest on your tires, while the petroleum are going to be the shiniest and last longer. If your tires crack for any reason, tire manufacturers will first look for any type of solvent dressings used because they can lead to deterioration. So water based dressings are things like- armor all, Vinylex, 1Z Tiefenfleger, 303, Z16. Things that are petroleum based are anything like tire gels, or things that feel oily.

I have always used the maguiar's(however it spelt) tire gel stuff. Most of the other tire dressings get fling all over your car around the wheel wells.

The browness is caused by antiozonants which are built into a tire to keep the tire durable. Using certain tire dressings will accelerate the process of the antiozonants.

Water based are by far the safest to use. I recommend Poorboy's Bold N Bright and 303 Aeropace

stuff that lasts the longest in most cases attracts alot the dirt
another thing you want to keep in mind if your in to keeping your car clean you probably clean your car once a week....the armoral last 3 4 5 days
why do you need a long lasting tire shine? if you clean your car alot
