| Claybar tips I just finished claybaring my Acura and damn I am very impressed...The finish looks as if it just came out of the showroom...brand new! The Mothers California Claybar set is the best! It took out all the little dots of tar near the bottom of the wheel well...and made the car beautiful...definitally try it...it's so easy! I was going to take pics but I finished when it was dark out so there was no point. Anyways, the point of starting this thread is to gather some tips for claybaring cars...if you have a tip please post it up and share it...I'm sure there are many different techniques out there. Thanks, -John |

| i've used mothers and it is good! I use zaino Z18 now though, just because I was buying online and threw it in the basket. Hmm... I always break off a peice of the bar and use that. That way, if I ever drop the thing, I won't have to throw away the whole thing. I always fold the bar when I move to the next panel. When I used Mothers, I just buffed the car clean after a claybar. But when I switched to Zaino, they recommend a good wash, so I just bust out a new mitt and do it. It works out because I only clay the car once a season, and that's usually when I change to a packet of fresh new mitts. |
