Tire Cleaner.

I always put tire gloss on my tires whenever I clean my car. I am having trouble getting off the old tire shine stuff though. Rubber cleaner and wheel cleaner with a brush don't seem to get it off. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

if too much tire gloss builds up, it gets this sort of gooey gummy stuff on the tires. tire gloss also looks better when the tires are really clean.

Castrol Super Clean. Spray it on, wait just a minute or so, you'll see the stuff start to run, then hose it off. You shouldn't even need to use a brush. If you do brush it, try to use a plastic bristle one, not those brass/metal ones. Sure they work great but over time you'll see your sidewalls not looking as good.
trust me on the Castrol, I buy it by the 55 gallon drum.

i've never heard of that stuff. would it be safe if it got on the wheels? what is the main ingredient in it too? thanks for the info.

Castrol Superclean... available in any auto parts store in the world, very common.
It's safe on all wheels if they are cool. Like any cleaner though, the warmer it is the faster it works. So if you spray it on a hot wheel or let it sit on there too long in the sun it will dull bare aluminum a bit.

As far as ingredients, read the label, it's an alphabet soup of chemicals.
