wet car look

guys what do you put on your car to give it that wet car look that makes the car look so rich?? after i washed and waxed my car i still felt the paint could of been more alive looking.does anyone know any products?

you need to polish your car first.

I recommend klasse all-in-one, followed by some klasse sealant glaze.

From what I know, in order to get a clean/protected paint:

wash, clay, polish, seal, wax. Of course buffing would be involved in all those steps except wash.

No, they aren't. A carnauba based product is going to achieve the wet look, while polymer synthetics such as Klasse and Zaino are going to produce a plastic, shiny look. Quit replying to things you are obviously unintelligent about until you learn.

...not really wanting to get into the fray too much here because everyone has an opinion but...

I agree more with Greg than anybody else. He may have been rude about it but the fact remains that he is correct.

Any high-end detailer will tell you that there's no one magical product that is head and shoulders above everybody else's. It's more the steps you follow and that you're starting with a clean and as near-perfect surface as you can rather than some fancy polymer/wax whatever product.

Also, if you want a finish that's as close to perfect as possible then you must take it to a high-end detailer. Some of you may not like to hear that because, like me, we're DIY's. To that I say this...

I'm a DIY guy too, but I also detail cars all day long and there is no way that a weekend warrior armed with a few waxes, a clay bar he bought at Pep Boys, a plastic orbital buffer, and the knowledge he gathered from the Meguiar's guy at the last car show is going to produce a better shine than me or any other respectable high-end detailer. That's not a slam on any of you ok? It's just the truth.

You CAN however, do a damn good job that you can be proud of and that no one but an expert could tell the difference between your job and a professional one. That make sense?

To answer the original question... No, there are no products to just put on your paint to make it look more "alive looking." If you want more shine you must create a more reflective surface, period.
