Anyone use the car washes at gas stations?

Just was wondering if anyone does. I almost always wash my car, but was wondering what everyone else does.

Those stink. They damage your paint/wheels, esp. chrome ones. Almost all of my warranty work on chrome wheels come frome automated car washes. Don't use 'em. I'd rather have a dirty car.

They recycle the water. You are putting dirt and grit and grime on your car from the moron in front of you that just went mud bogging in his 4 wheel jeep. That will scratch your paint. Do it at home the right way or pay to get it handwashed and check the sponges yourself.

I definitly hand wash my car. Auto wash is something it will never see.
