Starting a Detailing business?

Is it hard to start a little detailing business? How much should one charge if they do? Any of you pro-detailers have tips?

Well I have a detailing business and I would say the biggest thing you need is money to make money. You will need roughly around $1,000-1,500 in supplies to do it right as well as setting up a business with your state, getting insured & bonded. You will need a rotary and random orbital buffer, compounds, polishes, glazes, MF towels, sealants, waxes, glass cleaners, bug removers, pads, hot water extractor, a canopy if you are going to be mobile, typically a source of power- generator, degreaser, gallons of wheel cleaner, carpet cleaners, vacuum, protectants, dressings, brushes, and marketing money. If you go to www.autopia.org there are many pros and I would suggest buying the new V3.0 ebook as it contains a very thorough guide to starting up a mobile detailing business. Good luck and make sure you know your stuff before hitting the streets.

Greg is supafly as far as car detailing is concerned. He worked wonders on my car and runs an extremely professional, and mobile, operation.
