| I used mother's claybar and quick detailer, which come as a kit. It really made a big difference for me, made my 11 year old car look like it was straight out of the showroom. I washed and dried the car very thouroughly first, and then clayed the car one 2' by 2' section at a time. Spray a 2' by 2' area with quick detailer, and then run the claybar over it while it's still wet. You can tell when the clay stops picking up stuff, and it begins to just glide over the paint. The bar does pick up crap, but you can see the big chunks of stuff in the yellow clay, and pick them out. Then fold the clay until you get a clean section, and move on. it took about 2 hours, not counting washing before and waxing afterward. |
