tyre shine??

hey guys,

im after are a tyre foam/spray/gel/whatever that gives the best possible tyre shine!

so far i have only tried armour all tyre foam and am not so happy with it, they look shiney for a few days then it goes back to dull..

i was recommended meguires tyre gel, anyone used it?

Yes, I've used it before. The shine lasts about a week for me, then it goes away. I live in Florida though, and it's always raining here.

What type of shine do you like? Meguiars High Endurance Extra Gloss (purple) will give you a very shiny tire that lasts quite a while.
I prefer a matte looking tire and use Eimann Fabrik Black Saphire gel. Stoner's More Shine Less Time is also very shiny, but not sure about longevity.

I use a tire product from Wheel Wax (http://www.wheelwax.com) that lasts a long time and has a very nice shine. It's not quite as glossy as some of the others i've seen, but it doesn't fade at all for at least a day or two and the tires still look very good after a week or so. Even their site doesnt claim a "wet" look, but instead just a nice rich black. What I like about it is that i'm pretty sure it's water based, not oil based, and it won't spray up onto your fenders. I use it on my side mouldings and door handles as well.
The wax product there is very nice too, but its kind of a pain to apply on intricate wheels.

Aaron, I bought some great stuff last week. It was only $10.
It gives a real "wet look" and stays in for a while. I will give you the name later. I cannot remember it off hand.

The brand is "So Easy" and it is the "So Easy Wet Look Tyre Shine"
It is in a Grey airasole can. I thought it would be crap but it is the best stuff I have ever used.

I bought it at either Auto-one or Repco in Waitara.

i use the meguiars gloss tire gel the purple stuff works great... last a while too... it was pretty cheap too

I rarely use anything, but when I do, I use Vinylex. Leaves the tires matte black, very low shine. I can't stand tires that look dripping wet...

bmwboy - i went to repco today and wasnt able to find the stuff you were talking about.. i guess my store didnt stock it..

but i purchased "Valvoline Tye Shine" spray instead, all i can say is WOW! its got a nice wet look (which i like) and looks better than the old Armour All foam ever did! very happy

next time around i will probably try the meguires product!
