Burnt exhaust tips

Anyone know how to fix or get rid of burtn exhaust tips?? Has anyone replaced the tips?

The GruppeM exhaust systems have those colors around the edges of the tips.

I have tried a couple polishing methods but it seems like the burnt color is actually the metal burnt not just something that will wipe off. Anyone had the same problem and cured it without buying a new exhaust? Any pics

Pics? I use simple green to clean mine, then I follow with a metal polish.
