| those with neon as backlighting?? alright ive been looking into using neon as back lighting for my trunk setup under plexi. ive noticed that most neons have the cig. adapter. how can i hard wire the neon to work with the trunk light switch and or a seperate switch so it only works when the trunk is open or when i like it to. ed

| you should just be able cut the wire next to the plug and straight wire it into the wires that turn the trunk light on and off. as for turn it on and off with a switch just run the wires in at the same time you wire it to the light. make sure you use a heavier gauge of wire so that it will hold the voltage. at least about 12 gauge wire should do. then just hook it to your toggle switch. the only thing about doing it like that is that you won't be able to turn it off when your trunk is open it will always be on with the trunk open. so you won't really need the switch unless you want to turn it on and fold down the rear seats. |

| so i can just cut the cig lighter connector and wire it up like any other positive and neg wires? also how would i know which is positive and neg? does it matter?

| no i mean matching the (+) wire to a power source to turn the light on, than the (-) wire for ground. am i right or wrong?
