If you know AUDIO, please HELP!

hey everyone i havent posted in a while. since my car is being fixed right now, until it is finished im driving my dads 95 lexus es 300. i wanted to connect the system i have in my car now to it but i have no idea how. some of the info, its a rockford fosgate 800a4 amp with 3 JL audio 12" W6 subs in a custom box. it POUNDS!!! anyway, i was hoping someone would be able to give me directions for connecting it. im very handy and have some technical backround, and im pretty good with figuring things out. i went to my audio guy and he told me to come back after christmas and that i might need some type of connecter but i cant wait, but at the same time i know i dont wanna screw it up. the jobs gonna cost me $130, which isnt bad but still. HELP!!!!


(extra info- i have the factory dash and want to keep the current factory speakers as well. i hear this includes splicing of wires? help!)

here's the deal

run one fused heavy gauge pos wire from the batt to the amp
run a ground to the amp (preferably local)
run a set of RCA's from the back of the deck to the amp
run a remote lead from the deck to the amp

then run speaker wire, + and - from the amp to sub box.
