1. connect your amp to your headunits RCAs 1a. if there are no rcas, tap into your speakers with a line level adapter 2. wire the car for power, this involves running 12v+ power wire fromthe battery to your trunk, grounding the wire, fusing, etc 3. putting your subs in, mouting them so things dont fly around that's it...might not look like a lot...but it's not a fun task to do when you'll be getting your car backanways

| Yeah your definately looking at time. First step will be running your power cord from the + batt to the amp then your ground to the car. Your amp and speaker wiring and box I assume is already hooked up so you can just throw that on in. Im guessing this will be a temporary setup since your dad's lexus is using the stock headunit. There are two ways to do this. Your amp needs a signal from the headunit so your subs can put it to use. 1) They have these adapters that connect to the rear of the facotry headunit but then you have to wire from there all the way to your trunk. 2) If you have a electronic xover i would probably go this way. The system will prolly be in your trunk and the xover should have a adapter that plugs in the side with several wires depending on the channel xover. Take the channel you wanna use + & - with some speaker wire and since youll prolly be in the trunk you will have easy access to the factory rear speakers. All you will need to do is slice into them a lil and get some bare wire and join the wires. Then after you get that signal your good to go but I gotta tell you temporary setups like this dont sound as good as a quality job.
