| alpine or soundtream? hello, I own a 1997 civic sedan. I am looking to install a sound system in it as soon as i can get the funds together. I was just wonderng a quick and simple question: "Should i get alpine type R (5 and 1/4 splits at front, 6*9 at back) or get soundstream (probable same measurements) in my car?" What will give the best performance (price irralevant) Thanks for the help Shorty       |

| well personally i would choose alpine over soundstream for their speakers, soundstream has great amps but not the greatest of speakers. but in your case why not say screw the civic and save to get a bimmer? Tom |

| yeah write....i wouldnt give up my car for the world...lol i love it...beamers are nice but just cant give up my civic... thaks for the reply daz |

| If price is of no concern Rainbow, Dyn Audio,MB Quart "Q" series, Focal Those are simply in another category compared to ss lol |

| soundstream is made by poweracoustics now  alpine type R's are ok, but they belong in your girlfriends car, not yours. put a set of rainbows in your car and be done with it. hand made in germany for over 25 years!

| Focal's w/ MacIntosh Amps Focal's are studio quality speakers. I work at a recording studio and all we use are focal's
