| 5 1/4" front question... Can you guys recommend a good 5 1/4" mid to go in the kick panel. My car came with DEI 6 1/2" components but I can't fit the 6 1/2" after trimming the sheet metal. |

| MB Quart! MB Quart QSD components will sound awesome in that car especially if you use some decent amplification.

| Go on Ebay and type in MB Quart QSD. You can probably get them for well under $600. They need anywhere from 70 to 150 watts. They are spectacular though!

| Sorry guys but there is no way in hell I can afford to pay $500-600 for component speakers. I guess my ears aren't good enough to pick up the differences over my loud intake/turbo/exhaust set-up. |
| |||
| you could just go with mid grade speakers, since i assum eyoure not planning on going into any competitions anytime soon. just grab some JL or polks, or what ever you prefer (they pretty much all have about the same performance). I went with some bostwicks, theyre cheap, yet they can handle just as good as about every other mid grades out there.

| What about some Audiobahn 5 1/4" mid-bass drivers in the kick panel, wouldn't that be an improvment over stock? I have a PPI amp putting about 40 watts per channel to them, would that be enough? |

| That should be an improvement over stock but I would also recommend replacing the tweeter. Buy an audiobahn component set (they are pretty cheap on Ebay) that amp should be plenty. They could certainly take more but they don't really need any more.

Check out the JL audio XR or VR series components. They aren't *that* expensive and you can use the tweeters to replace the stock tweeters in the doors. |

| try infinity kappa perfects. they sound great. you can get them off ebay for around 200. thats a great price. i had those speakers for a year and thier great. they sound super smooth. i did however upgrade to the qsd 213 by mb quart, powered by a jl audio 300/2. you cant go wrong with the kappas if you are on somewhat of a budget.
