Subwoofer Questions (JL, MTX, ID... ect)

Hey guys...
I am trying to decide on what sub setup to run in my '90 E30 M3.

I want only 1 sub because of weight and space, and I want a 10" or 12".
I have been looking at either a JL 10W3/12W3, MTX Thunder 8000 or the Image Dynamics IDQ.

Whats the best sub for the money? I dont have a ton of cash, but I want good sound with lots of bass if I decide to crank it.

What amp would be best to drive these subs?

Which is the best sub?

What would be the right sized box for these subs?

My trunk is small, and I like my car light, so I dont want too much in the trunk, thats why I want jsut one sub and amp...

Also, any suggestions on midrage speakers, 6.5" for the front and 6x9" for the rear, I will be driving these with a 50x4 amp.

well i used to have 2 12w3's in my car but jsut took out one and made a new box and it sounds better, i would get a 10in w7 though there sick, but w3 for the money and put like 200-300watts through it

Image Dynamics subs are very good, and aren't painfully expensive. I would suggest getting a 10" sub because they require a lot less space than a 12" to operate properly. A JBL 300x1 sub amp should be able to power one of these quite easily, and they're relatively cheap.

As for speakers, I'd recommend Infinity Kappas for the front as your high-range speakers, and then maybe some Kappas in the back set-up for midrange.

I would look into Diamond Audio and Adire Audio Shiva's. I have 2 12" Diamond M5's and really like them a lot. You can see my installation here:

I also have the Diamond Audio M5 sub, but mine is only a 10". either way I love the way it sounds and want another one to up the volume. Go with the Diamond Audio, I bought mine off eBay for like $135 brand new from Slydog something was his screen name. Check it out, he might have more. I bought mine a year ago though. Plus...the QLogic 10" box fit in the trunk of my M3, just barely though.
