DTM Radio is back up! Woowoo! (Damn this DSL is fast..)

Yup, no more skipping. This is a full 1.5/256 DSL. I get exactly those speeds when I tested it and the connection is rock solid. I'm going to have to move my computer back later tonight so it will be down for a few minutes but fear not, the connection is here. For some reason it doesn't like long LAN cables. How weird is that? (There's an RJ45 connector in the wall, not a DSL modem..) and for some reason they installed the plug in the loft upstairs anyways..

enjoy.. I don't have time to load the new stuff now but I'll throw on the older playlist for the mean time.

actually... I lied.

I hate this thing, it uses PoET protocol to connect and my cable/dsl router won't work with it, I don't think it supports it. I need to get a longer UTP Cat 5 cable (the cheap stuff I have doesn't work, it shouldn't matter if it isn't utp but it does in this case..) so anyways. Sorry guys, I'll buy a cable tomorrow.

I have a cheap cable modem connection, 2MBPS down always and I have more upstream than all my DSL buddies too, even the 1MB+ guys. Maybe its cause nobody in my neighborhood uses it and nobody here watches TV. How much you pay for your connection? I pay 29.99/mo

Now by "PoET" do you mean PPPoE? I think Earthlink tried to force that on me saying I would need to buy a router from them that supports "PoET". Any decent router should support PPPoE, I know the Dlink Di-604 which costs like 40 bucks supports it and its really easy to setup. And the problem with the cables, how long is the CAT5 cable? Can't you remember from your networking class that CAT5 has a lenght limit of 100 meter (328 feet).
