| waht speakers to buy?????????? i am going to buy two front speakers for my 93' 318i. im 16 so i dont have that much money. i looked at that crutchfield site and other stores and i dont know if i would waste money on speakers that are expensive that wouldnt be that much better than getting some that are 50 bucks. and also is an amp really worth it in my situation cuz i know installation is gona cost some bank on top of it being hella money. | go to www.sounddomain.com and look up the US acoustics mono sub amp usx600d. ive got one of those puppies hooked up to two 10" mtx 6000 and theyre supposed to be able to hold about 500watts rms, and the amp is rate for 300rms bridged, and i already blew two mtx and got them replaced under the warranty. but its a damn good buy. im going to get another one as soon as i can get the money.

| if you have an aftermarket radio, you might need and amp to push a nice set of 5.25s; but if you have an aftermarket radio, you wont need the amp because the radio can push the speakers up to the point where the music gets all blurry and you cant hear it at all. so i probably wouldnt go for an amp for such small speakers anyways, most people use amps for their 6x9s and such, because they perform better at higher volumes. also if you get an amp for smaller speakers, it wont take too long to blow them.
